Why use TrioX®?

Why use TrioX®?

Topical antimicrobial spray is for the treatment of various wounds that your pet or livestock may suffer from. Many different sprays are available, and it can be troublesome to know which one is right for you and your pet. Our engineers at PetFX have done the research for you and developed TrioX®: a topical antimicrobial spray safe for wounds on all pets and livestock, from dogs to horses and even reptiles.

Our pets and livestock depend on us to keep them safe, healthy, and happy. We do our best to keep them out of harm's way, but when those accidents, illnesses, and other unplanned events occur, it's wise to have an item in your first-aid kit that is safe, fast, and effective.

As a pet parent, keeping first aid spray handy is essential. Treating cuts, inflammation, abrasions, and hot spots quickly and efficiently are vital to a happy and healthy pet. With the variety of options available, you don’t want your first aid kit to be jam-packed with sprays, bottles, and creams to treat any wound issue. TrioX® is a one-step treatment that can replace all of your creams and sprays and has superior antimicrobial performance. TrioX® will not harm any healthy tissue and is non-toxic and alcohol-free. This product will not produce the “stinging” feeling that products with alcohol produce.

While there are many types of minor injuries and abrasions that pets and livestock can experience, and they vary depending on breed and species, here are some of the more common injuries that your pet or livestock may experience:

Cuts or abrasions

A small cut or abrasion might be the most commonly experienced wound. Household pets and livestock are prone to cuts and scrapes from rough play, interactions with other animals, being moved or handled in fields, or a brush up with a sharp object can lead to minor wounds. Although your pet or livestock most likely won’t need immediate medical attention, you will still want to treat these wounds with caution, as a bacterial infection is still a possible outcome. Treating these minor wounds with an antimicrobial spray should be the first thing you do. TrioX® is an antimicrobial spray that will prevent bacteria from growing inside the open wound and promotes healing and new skin growth. While TrioX® will handle and eliminate bacterial infections, you will still want to monitor the wound for unusual swelling, discharge, or increased pain and consult a medical professional if conditions worsen.

Foreign objects

Of all the common wounds that pets and livestock experience, foreign objects can be one of the most difficult to spot. Thorns, stickers, and other objects may get stuck in your animal's skin, fur, paws, and ears and will typically go unnoticed. It is easy for small items to get stepped on and lodged in an animal's paw pads or feet, and sometimes licking, limping, or biting are the only indicators that something may be wrong. Since most animals lead head-first, foreign objects become lodged behind the ears or around the face and neck. These sensitive areas are prone to swelling and inflammation if the object goes unnoticed for an extended period without removal. Now that you have identified the foreign object, quick removal and treatment are essential to prevent further complications and discomfort. After the safe removal of an object, disinfecting with TrioX® will ensure the rapid healing of the wound, stops unwanted microorganism growth and helps prevent infection. TrioX® can be used as often as necessary without worry that you may cause further irritation.

Hot spots

Hot spots are another common wound that pet parents will experience. Hot spots are superficial skin infections caused by damage to the skin's surface. Chewing, licking, and scratching are typically the most common causes, and every pet parent knows the struggle to get a pet to leave those itchy spots alone. Hot spots are often painful, and your pet can have one or multiple lesions that can vary in size. Hot spots can crop up quickly, as it only takes minutes of uninterrupted chewing, licking, biting, or scratching to cause one. When pets chew at the skin, bacteria from their mouths accumulate along with moisture and will start a skin infection that leads to a hot spot. Using TrioX® on the area will stop bacterial growth on contact. Its neutral pH and non-toxic formula are gentle on the wound and will not cause a stinging or burning sensation. TrioX® should be any animal owner’s first line of defense when it comes to pesky hot spots and the spray will also allow the skin to rebuild and repair.

TrioX® for Hoof Care

You can treat minor injuries or abrasions with TrioX®, but what about TrioX® for hoof care? TrioX® will deliver the same benefits for hooves as it does for wounds. Twigs, nails, rocks, and dirt are just some of the many things that get lodged in hooves, and even with regular cleanings, you will still want to make sure you are properly disinfecting to prevent and eliminate any issues. TrioX® will help eliminate harmful microorganisms that lead to odor and in more serious cases, lameness. Often, it is difficult to spot wounds in hooves unless there is a noticeable limp, and even then, treatment can be difficult. With larger animals such as horses or cows, disinfecting hooves with a ready-to-use spray like TrioX® makes the experience easier for the animal and yourself. TrioX® will penetrate deeply into the hoof layers to remove bacteria and pathogens that cause deterioration and promote healthy tissue growth. You don’t have to wait until an injury occurs to use TrioX®. You can use TrioX® in your routine as a preventative to clear the hooves of any pathogens or bacteria that may have made their way inside the hooves. To protect your animal from diseases, bacteria, fungi, thrush, and many other ailments, use TrioX®.

TrioX® for Reptiles

Reptiles are considered low-maintenance, and because of this, they are often left out of pet products or pet product advertising. Having to buy separate products to care for reptiles can be a hassle, but with TrioX®, you can safely treat reptile wounds in addition to using it on other pets or livestock. Reptiles often spend most of their time inside an enclosure, but that does not mean they are not susceptible to injury. Reptiles can sustain burns from basking lamps, superficial cuts and scrapes, scale-related issues, or low-impact trauma. As with other pets and livestock, treating wounds with an antimicrobial disinfectant spray should be the first step. Having TrioX® as part of your first-aid treatment will save you a considerable amount of time and stress in the event that an injury occurs. Use TrioX® just as you would for other animal wounds and spray directly on the wound for fast disinfecting. You can reapply TrioX® as often as necessary.
